Abhijit is the Director of the Cyber Fellows program at the NYU Tandon School of Engineering. He holds an undergraduate degree in Instrumentation Engineering, a master’s degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering from Rutgers University, and a master’s degree in Cybersecurity from NYU.
Before joining NYU Tandon, Abhijit built an extensive career designing and developing software for the telecommunications and financial technology industries. His work has included developing data communication protocols for telephony networks and creating software solutions for credit and liquidity risk management. He has delivered mission-critical systems for organizations including AT&T Bell Labs, Bellcore, and JPMorgan Chase.
Abhijit has a particular interest in application security and other areas of defensive cybersecurity. He brings a pragmatic leadership style, strong analytical skills, and extensive industry experience to his work in cybersecurity education and workforce development.
