He has appeared on CNN television as an information security expert and has been quoted in the Wall Street Journal, Entrepreneur Magazine, Fortune Small Business, Men’s Health, Women’s Health and Inc. Magazine’s technology site IncTechnology.com.
His work has also been referenced by the PCI Security Standards Council in their Data Security Standard Wireless Guidelines. He has presented at seminars and conferences hundreds of times and has been a top-rated information security speaker at shows for Gartner, RSA, ISACA and others.
Additionally, Kevin has performed hundreds of webinars for TechTarget, Ziff-Davis and other publishers/outlets. Kevin serves as a faculty member (consultant) for the Institute of Applied Network Security (IANS) where he specializes in incident response and recovery, application security, and vulnerability management. He also serves as an Industry Advisory Board member for Kennesaw State University’s Department of Computer Engineering.
Kevin is the founder and past president of the Technology Association of Georgia’s Information Security Society. He earned a bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering Technology from Southern College of Technology and a master’s degree in Management of Technology from Georgia Tech. He also holds the Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) certification which he obtained in 2001.
