Dr. Fred Strickland is the Assistant Professor of Cybersecurity and Computer Science at the University of Maine at Presque Isle. He is the cybersecurity program advisor and the cybersecurity academic advisor.
In addition, he is a concurrent enrollment (“early college”) liaison to local high schools for computing courses. He is the Computer Science Teachers Association’s Aroostook County Representative. His research interests include cybersecurity, computing education, high school outreach, and combining radio spectrum and computing applications such as for remote sensing.
He has presented at conferences and has published papers. The most recent paper will appear in the charter edition of the new Cybersecurity Pedagogy & Practice Journal (some time in 2022).
He has reviewed papers for various national level conferences.
